Camp SilahCamp Silah (Silah: Arabic for 'Connection'), of Project Untangled, is a summer camp for the youth, ages 8-18, for the Portland metropolitan area. It was launched in the summer of 2018 as a 3 day test run. It was such a huge success that we have decided to keep it going every summer. This camp blended refugee kids with non-refugee kids in a beautiful harmonious way and made the refugee kids feel like they belong to the Portland community.

Camp MaharahCamp Mahara (Mahara: Arabic for 'Skill'), a 3 day camp which we have a couple times throughout the year, is a skills camp for the refugee youth. They learn beneficial life skills while having fun. One of our main goals for this camp, as with all our camps, is to help the mental health of the children, and give them the opportunity to express themselves in a safe environment, bond with others, and build long lasting friendships.
